The new self-tapping screws with thin head

The KHS system was developed to create a screw that eliminates the need for pre-drilling in bone densities ranging from D2 to D4. Its innovative head design ensures reduced pressure on soft tissues and minimizes the risk of perforating them.

KHS screws are available in lengths from 5 mm to 15 mm and in diameters of 1.35 mm and 1.60 mm. The most distinctive features of these devices are the head height and the flat surface on the underside: the head height is approximately 0.5 mm, and the upper surfaces are rounded to apply minimal pressure on soft tissues.

The square drive connection of the insertion tools is compact, further reducing pressure on the surrounding soft tissues.

NO! The pre-drilling is not necessary in the bone between D2 and D4. For a D1 bone it is preferable to make a pre-drilling

The external diameters available are 1.35 mm and 1.60 mm

FYxoss Selftap screws are indicated:

• for meshes fixing, preferably using 5 mm and 7 mm screws

• for membrane fixing, preferably using 5 mm screws

• for bone plates fixing, preferably using 5 mm and 7 mm screws

• for bone block fixing, preferably using screws from 7 mm to 13 mm

• for the Shell technique preferably using 10 mm to 15 mm screws

• for the Tenting technique preferably using screws from 7 mm to 13 mm

Are screws suitable for very soft bone?

KHS screws are produced in TIGR5 certified ASTM F136.

The underhead has been specifically designed for precise and soft contact. The angle of the underhead ensures extended support and this ensures excellent stabilization of the mesh without creating deformations.
